The Snake River is a lifeline to bison, elk, moose, beaver, pronghorn, deer, bear and 300 different species of birds, including osprey and eagles. It offers lush willows to feed on, deep-water pools to swim in and groves of aspen to wander. To be on the river is to see, hear, feel and smell wilderness in a way the park's casual visitor never can. Grand Teton National Park is home to the greatest variety of wildlife in the 48 contiguous states.
